The Estate of The Union Season 4|Episode 1 is out now! In this episode of the ESTATE OF THE UNION, Brad Wiewel is going to share with you how to SUPER STRETCH an IRA!

Here’s some background: Retirement accounts like IRAs, 401ks and 403bs are subject to a myriad of new rules on how fast the money needs to be distributed to a non-spouse beneficiary. While there are exceptions, for the vast majority of beneficiaries, the money must be emptied out in ten years, which means that those funds are going to be subject to taxes more quickly and now they are growing in a “taxable” environment.

Enter the Testamentary Charitable Remainder Trust (weird name, right?). As Brad describes it, this trust which can be part of a revocable living trust or a will, and it allows the ultimate beneficiaries (kids, etc.) to take the retirement account distributions over their LIFETIME (Super Stretch), not just ten years! Brad paints the BIG picture and gives enough details for it to make sense to you.

While we like to look good (most of the time), getting to the store is a hassle, parking is a bear and finding something that looks good and FITS, is a greater challenge than most of us want to put up with.

In this episode of The Estate of the Union, Andy Wiewel, Brad and Cindy’s second born son, shares how he can help make guys look great -and actually like the process! Andy is a Top Clothier with Tom James, which specializes in getting men to dress well in customized clothes that look good and feel good.

Not all bodies are created equally: Some of us are big, others less big. Some of us are tall, and others less so. Some of us like to show off and others just like feeling comfortable in our clothes. These are things that Andy focuses on exclusively.

He explains his passion for helping guys and those who love them – those who want to see the man in their lives “up their game” from t-shirts and shorts, to something that shows off their natural good looks and good taste. The Estate of The Union Season 3|Episode 4 is out now! It surprises some people to discover that the mortality rate in Texas and the USA and the world for that matter is 100%! None of us are getting out of here alive. How we leave this planet can sometimes be determined by how we want to.

While many people die suddenly, many others linger. And the prolonged dying process is where Hospice Austin come into play. We are privileged to have Keisha Jones, the Director of In-Patient Services at Hospice Austin share with us a “better way to die.”

While there are many for profit hospices, and an article in a recent edition of Scientific American highlighted that Hedge Funds are buying up hospices nationwide, Hospice Austin is the only non-profit one in this area. Keisha shares her unique insights into the dying process and gives hope, and we are very thankful for her allowing us to interview her.
